History
Troller Mayer Associates, Inc. (TMA), a landscape architecture and site
planning firm located in Glendale, and Torrance, California, was
established in 1978. TMA is a California corporation, and has worked
for thirty years with municipal public agencies, private developers,
non-profit organizations, and clients to plan, design and build a range
of projects throughout Southern California in both the private and public
sectors.
Our practice includes:
- parks, streetscapes, public open space and plazas
- multi-family housing and other residential housing
- hospitals, health care clinics, medical clinics, libraries, fire stations, city halls, landfills, recycle centers and infrastructure projects
- new school construction and refurbishment and renovation of existing facilities
- commercial and business centers
- historic restoration and memorials
The firm’s approach is grounded in our commitment to partnering with agencies and the community to develop projects that are environmentally and economically sustainable and reflect the goals of the client and stakeholders. Our extensive knowledge of water conservation and management, plant materials and drought tolerant design combined with grading, construction and the new “green” technologies of storm water management (bioretention, permeable surfacing and green roofs), SMART irrigation system design and experience with LEED requirements support our concept of sustainable landscape planning. Our in-house team includes professionals with experience in landscape architectural design and sustainable site development, irrigation engineering, graphic communication, construction documentation and CAD to support these activities
